Donna Vassallo, the owner of MarketingWorks, began her career as a professional writer in 1985. Her focus is on the business-to-business market, but she serves customers in the non-profit and consumer area, as well.

Prior to forming her own business, Donna was a Marketing Manager at American Express and at Thomas Cook Travel. Before moving to New York, she worked as a freelance writer in England, where she lived for two years, and was an account manager at two of the largest advertising agencies in her hometown of Boston.

Donna is a member of the New York City Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO-NYC). She is the Chair of the Editorial Committee and has helped enhance the organization’s profile by writing several of their marketing materials. In recognition of her hard work and talent, she received the NAWBO-NYC Rookie of the Year Award in 2003.

She is also a member of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP).

Donna has a graduate degree in Administration & Management from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree from Holy Cross College.
